DNA Testing Glossary

Prenatal
The term prenatal refers to developments prior to birth. This term can be used to describe events occurring while the fetus is still in the womb, and affecting either the mother or the child, or both. DNA can be retrieved for prenatal paternity testing from a child via an amniocentesis test.
