DNA Testing Glossary
- Nuclear DNA
- Nuclear DNA is can be found in a cell’s nucleus. A person’s nuclear DNA is composed of information inherited half from the mother and half from the father, and helps to create that individual’s genome, or set of genetic instructions. DNA can be used by scientists to help determine parentage via maternal or paternal DNA tests. It can also be used to determine a wide range of other information about the source of the DNA.
